Iman Ram
My name is Iman Ram and I was born in Iran. In 2016, I started my new life in Greece making the city of Athens my home. I’m the co-founder of the Elijah Cosmetic Company and have an academic background in microbiology. Having faced a lot of challenges as a refugee myself, I’m able to personally relate to multiple scenarios and situations refugees might find themselves in. This encouraged and enabled me to start an organization to benefit refugees and other marginalized sectors of society. I hope to motivate, encourage and help them integrate into society.
Tessa Alevizopoulou
My name is Tessa Alevizopoulou and I am originally from Germany, but for the past 20 years, I have lived with my husband and two girls in Athens. I am a teacher of German. Since 2017 I have been volunteering in different refugee camps and housing facilities and teaching German, English, and Greek languages that I am fluent in. But this is not enough for me – I want to help and achieve more …- I want to give more joy, more education and better promote integration into our society – these are my reasons for starting this organization.
Fivos Kolovos
My name is Fivos Kolovos, I was born and raised in Greece –where I live now- and I work as a psychologist. Attuned to the WHO’s plan for a Decade of Healthy Ageing 2020–2030, “…consisting of 10 years of concerted, catalytic, sustained collaboration… towards the improvement of the lives of older people, their families, and their communities”, I have dedicated myself, along with other people, to the construction of a new vision about aging, where ageism and all the associated negative stereotypes will fade out in order to give place to intergenerational sensitivity, collaboration, and acceptance. “I’m human and nothing human is alien to me” Inspired by Terence’s quote, the three of us, three people with different backgrounds, have decided to join forces with a view to building bridges across generations and initiate local community actions for people in need and at risk of isolation and social exclusion.
